Customers can come with a specific printhead, ink, printer or service requirement — or with an application or technical problem that needs solving.
Our approach starts with the application rather than a single manufacturer or technology. We first understand the application, then identify suitable products, resources and specialist support across the industrial inkjet ecosystem. Through Inkjet Entry, we help select printheads, inks, supporting equipment and integration partners. We introduce printhead manufacturers rather than selling printheads.

Sam Takeshi Kawai
Industry experience, from technology to application.
Originally from Japan and based in the UK since 1997, Sam has spent more than 25 years working in industrial inkjet.
Over that time, he has seen how inkjet technology has evolved, how technical challenges have been addressed, and how new applications have developed from early ideas into practical industrial processes. This experience has given him a broad understanding of what it takes to make inkjet work — from the interaction between printheads and inks to the supporting equipment, integration skills and application knowledge needed to build a successful system.
Throughout his career, Sam has built long-standing relationships with core technology suppliers operating globally, including printhead manufacturers, ink developers and specialist equipment providers. His network also extends to system integrators and research organisations.
At MS Inkjet, he draws on this experience and these relationships to help customers understand their options, select suitable technologies and connect with partners whose capabilities fit their application. Customers can start with a specific requirement or simply an idea they want to explore.
SII Printek · 2008–2019
Through Marketing Standard Limited, Sam worked exclusively with SII Printek in the industrial inkjet printhead market for 11 years. His role covered market and partner development, technical-commercial support, and the development of the European organisation and technical infrastructure, supporting business across Europe, the Middle East and India.
During this engagement, the European business grew by approximately ten times.
Strategic Advisory to Core Technology Suppliers · Since 2019
Since 2019, Sam has provided strategic advisory services to several established suppliers of core industrial inkjet technologies.
His work spans business strategy, market and application development, and partnerships, drawing on his understanding of the technology, its industrial applications and the wider inkjet ecosystem. He continues to advise technology suppliers today.
iPrint Advisory Board · Since 2020
Sam serves on the advisory board of iPrint in Fribourg, Switzerland, contributing an industrial and international business perspective to its work in digital printing and inkjet technology.
